Soap and Glory Lid Stuff in 'What's Nude' Eyeshadow Palette Review

So here comes another review for you!
I got my Soap and Glory Lid Stuff Palette from Boots. I believe that not all Boots stores in Ireland stock the full Soap and Glory range but I got mine from a larger Boots store for €14.50 Alternatively you can get this from the Boots website.

Soap and Glory are known in the UK for their amazing skin care products, cute packaging and memorable product names. They have expanded their business into the cosmetics world.

I have tried a few Soap and Glory skincare products, but not any of their cosmetic products, until now! This has earned its place in my daily makeup bag.

Soap and Glory describe this product as:

"4 shades of fabulous flawless – finish, super colour 8 hour wear eyeshadow (that won’t flake, won’t fade and won't crease). Amazing, intense second- skin-like colour finish in matt or metallic shades plus a superior creamy finish. "

Product Details

This neutral eyeshadow palette has 4 neutral shades: (L to R) Vanilla, Pink T, Mudhoney and Aubersheen. There are 3 matte shades with Aubersheen being the only shimmer colour. These shades are not chalky and have a satiny- creamy feeling so there is no fear of fallout with this product. These shadows are quite pigmented but not equally as pigmented as MAC or Urban Decay Shadows, but I still think they have pretty decent pigmentation. Soap and Glory claim that they are an "8 hour eyeshadow". I don't think they could last for 8 hours alone, but teamed with an eye primer, they can last all day for me!

The packaging is very sturdy and compact to take with you in your handbag. It has a clear lid so you can see the colours clearly. The packaging looks more sleek and professional - nice one Soap and Glory!

Swatches

The swatches are as follows: Vanilla, Pink T, Mudhoney and Aubersheen.
The Pink T colour would show up more on pale skin but it still works well as a blending transition colour on more tanned skin.

Review Summary

      Pros:

  • Great Neutral palette
  • Affordable
  • Decent shadow quality
  • Decent staying power
  • 3 matte shades

  • Good for everyday use
  • Can also be used for a night look

      Cons:

  • They don't last for 8 hours like Soap and Glory claim.
  • The shade Pink T might not show up very well on darker skin tones

My Rating: 4.5/5
