Festival Makeup Look

Hey Everyone!
I wore this makeup look to Body and Soul last week. I love seeing the creative makeup and face paints on everyone and I love trying out new looks to wear to festivals. At festivals and at Halloween are basically the only times each year that I can go a little crazy with my makeup, so I take full advantage and go all out! This look was inspired by @heidimakeupartist from instagram.

Products Used:

Essence Maximum Definition Mascara
No7 Stay Precise Liquid Liner in Sea (Navy), Sea Sky (Blue) and Mermaid (Aqua Green)
Essence Lquid ink Waterproof Eyeliner
NYC Metallic Eyeliner in Liquid Gold
NYX Liquid Crystalliner in Gold
Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Black
NYX Eyeshadow base in White
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Tutorial

  1. Firstly apply your primer, foundation, concealor and powder as normal. Begin with shading on your eyebrows with NYC Metallic Eyeliner in Liquid Gold. You may need to apply a few layers to get the colour payoff.
  2. Line your eye crease with Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Black and wing it out at the end as a template (see picture).
  3. Next for around the eye, start with the lightest colour. I started with NYX Eyeshadow base in White. Use a small eyeliner brush (Eg. Sigma E05) and draw small strokes randomly around the eye. Make sure these strokes are drawn away from the eye. I would prefer to use a white gel liner or liquid liner but this is all I had when I as doing this look. Liquid liners do not smudge easily and are long lasting for a festival.

4. Apply the next lightest colour NYC Metallic Eyeliner in Liquid Gold in the same way. Apply it all around the eye area including under the eyebrow but not on the eye lid.
    5. Repeat the same steps with the blue, green, navy and finally black liners.

     6. Blend down the black gel liner with Blackout from the Naked 2 palette. Next apply Half Baked             from the Naked 2 Palette onto the eye lid and blend the colours together with a clean blending                  brush.

   7. Add some black liner on the top and bottom lashline and blend with Blackout from the Naked 2                 Palette.

     8. Add some mascara, false eyelashes and some dark lipstick. I used Revlon Black Cherry                     lipstick and you're done!

So there you go, makeup for summer festivals sorted!
